Infinity '09: What makes us Different?
Infinity '09 will build on the previous years` techno-cultural scheme. We want the Infinity '09 fest to be a brand among all colleges of Bangalore as a premier engineering college fest. At the same time, we want a larger cross section of the student community to be part of the fest. Hence, we consciously strive to include as diverse a set of events as possible.
Our Vision
Infinity '09 will strike the right balance between Technical and Cultural events. We have very novel marketing ideas to reach out to a large body of students such as advertising through the several existing networking sites, providing incentives for early registrations etc. The cynosures of Infinity '09 are the technical events. In the previous years, an event like On-the-spot programming had been successful in drawing crowds of 250 participants. This time the number of participants will be larger as the technical events are more in number and students from IITs and NITs are also expected to participate.
Industry-Institution Interface
The companies which sponsor our fest and the students who participate, should view Infinity '09 as a valuable platform to interact with each other. Both must gain from the synergy created by Infinity '09. As more and more students become aware of the various companies and their respective technology domains, they can make better career choices and get exposed to an array of latest developments in the Industry. Similarly, we want our sponsors to play a larger role in the events that we conduct. We will be happy if they could give their invaluable inputs in framing the contests or attending the fest as judges. Due to our pro-active marketing campaign, we will ensure that the creme de la creme of the engineering talent will be attending the fest.
